About the Role

The Core Tooling team contributes force multiplication efforts to help engineers developing Teleport and across the org. This team is the backbone to ensuring the rest of the development team remains incredibly productive, and that we operate in the open, with an open source code base. It is responsible for the tooling necessary to build and release Teleport artifacts, including container images, AMIs, Helm Charts, and integration/distribution to package managers. As Teleport grows, the Core Tooling team needs your expert help on all fronts.

What You'll Do

Work on rich set of tools to ensure engineering team productivity and efficiency, and support build and release of all Teleport artifacts.
Write most of the code in Go.
Own the outcomes and deliver on ambitious quarterly goals.
Closely collaborate with other teams in the Cloud Organization.
Master and thoughtfully apply technological advancements in AI space.
Grow your technical expertise.

What We're Looking For

Willingness to collaboratively work with Teleports’ engineers on coding challenge in Go as part of the interview process.
Extensive Go experience.
Strong experience with Kubernetes.
Proficiency with AWS and other cloud services.
Extensive experience developing scalable, reliable, and performant systems.
Linux systems engineering experience.
Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to master new technologies.
Transparency, honesty, and a no-ego mindset.

How We Hire

Our process is designed to be straightforward and respectful of your time. We skip performative rounds and focus on what matters: understanding how you think and what you can do.

For this role, we use a take-home challenge that mirrors real work at Teleport — on your time, your way. You'll have support from the team throughout.

Zoom meeting with a Teleport recruiter. You’ll learn about the company, our products, compensation philosophy, interview process, and key requirements.
Zoom meeting with the Hiring Manager. The Hiring Manager will walk you through the coding challenge and answer your questions.
Coding challenge collaboration. The day after your meeting with the Hiring Manager, you join a Slack channel and submit a coding challenge in Go using GitHub. The challenge usually takes about 2 weeks and ends with a Zoom meeting with the Hiring Manager and the interview team member to review your solution.
