The Team + The Role

Pendo's Field Marketing team partners closely with Sales to create programs that drive pipeline growth, accelerate deals, and deepen customer relationships. The team builds targeted regional experiences and campaigns that bring Pendo's brand to life for enterprise prospects and customers.

The Field Marketing Manager is an embedded strategic revenue partner to the Enterprise sales team. You will own account-specific programs, translate intent data into targeted campaign strategies, create high-touch executive-level experiences, and co-develop territory plans with RVPs. Events are one tactic in your toolkit, not the job itself.

This is a hybrid role based out of our office in San Francisco, California.

What this looks like day-to-day

  • Sales alignment and territory strategy: Partner closely with RVPs and Account Directors to shape territory and account strategy from the ground up. Attend weekly team calls and account pod meetings, brief the team on campaigns and upcoming programs, and serve as the primary marketing point of contact for Enterprise sales activity in your territory.
  • Account-based and product-based programs: Own dedicated programs for your top 10 priority accounts each quarter, including executive gifting, on-site visits, bespoke events, account-specific content and ads, and direct mail. Maintain account briefs with each account pod and partner with Enterprise demand generation on a coordinated coverage model.
  • Regional field events: Plan and execute approximately three regional in-person field events per quarter in partnership with the AVP. Own pre-event and post-event strategy, attendee targeting, invite flows, day-of experience, reporting, and spend efficiency analysis so the team understands what works in your territory.
  • Intent data and signal activation: Develop working fluency in intent platforms and reports to monitor account buying signals. Review bi-weekly signal briefs and translate them into account-specific program actions, showing up to team and account pod calls with actionable account intelligence.
  • Demand generation coordination: Partner with the Enterprise demand generation team to align scaled campaigns with narrowed account and product-specific field plans. Help create a coverage model where demand generation drives broad engagement and field marketing converts account signals into targeted action.
  • Performance analysis and feedback: Analyze event and program performance metrics to understand what is working, where improvements are needed, and how future initiatives should change. Act as the feedback loop between the field and marketing by surfacing collateral, messaging, and campaign insights that can be productized for broader use.

Who You Are

Beyond the qualifications, we hire through a specific lens. These aren't buzzwords; they're the things we'll actually look for in how you talk about your work.

You're a builder, not a maintainer.

You're most energized when there isn't a clear path yet, and you get to define it. You don't wait for direction; you identify gaps, shape solutions, and drive them forward. At Pendo, great Field Marketing Managers don't just follow instructions; they operate as strategic advisors, influencing decisions, guiding stakeholders, and elevating how we work.

You're AI-curious - genuinely.

You're not using AI tools occasionally. You're rewiring how you work around them. You're faster, sharper, and more prolific because of it, and you bring that energy to everything — how you approach your work, how you prep, how you communicate, how you think. We want someone who sees AI as a multiplier, not a shortcut.

Must-haves

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of relevant experience, including event planning and sales partnership in a B2B environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with Sales, Demand Generation, and executive stakeholders to build programs that support pipeline growth, deal acceleration, and account engagement.
  • Strong project management and communication skills, with the ability to manage event logistics, stakeholders, timelines, invite flows, and reporting simultaneously.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-changing environment with a quick-start mentality, high production output, and the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Agentic mindset with experience creating AI-enabled or agentic workflows to move work forward more efficiently.
  • Willingness and ability to travel for events and on-site execution.

Nice-to-haves

  • Background in B2B SaaS event marketing or experience embedded within a sales organization.
  • Experience using intent data platforms to inform account strategy and translate buying signals into program action.
  • Ability to leverage corporate campaigns alongside field initiatives to drive full-funnel demand.
  • Comfort building and interpreting enriched account lists for targeted account programs.
  • Product fluency and the ability to hold credible VP-level conversations about core platform use cases.
  • Proficiency with Google Suite, Salesforce, Outreach, Clay, and Splash.
  • Creative and strategic thinker with strong attention to detail and a positive, forward-thinking approach.
