We’re on a mission to transform how companies use data. Come be a part of our journey!

We are looking for a local APJ People Business Partner Lead to serve as the primary People team partner for leaders and employees across the Asia-Pacific and Japan (APJ) region. This role combines strategic people partnership, regional compliance ownership, and operational execution to ensure our people practices scale effectively as the company grows across Asia-Pacific and Japan.

The APJ People Business Partner Lead will work closely with regional leaders, Legal, and global People teams to bring our people strategy to life regionally. This role requires someone comfortable operating as a utility player—equally strong partnering with leaders on people strategy, navigating regional employment requirements, and owning key operational processes within the region.

Because APJ environments often vary significantly by country, this role will also require someone who can build and maintain strong regional operational foundations, ensuring we remain compliant while delivering a consistent employee experience aligned with our global practices.

What You’ll Do

Strategic People Business Partnership

  • Partner closely with APJ leaders and managers to drive organizational effectiveness, team health, and strong performance.
  • Bring a thoughtful people lens to leadership decisions including team design, performance management, and talent development.
  • Act as a trusted partner to leaders navigating complex employee situations and evolving organizational needs.

Regional Compliance & Expertise

  • Serve as the regional point of contact for employment practices and compliance across APJ.
  • Partner with Legal and external advisors to ensure alignment with local employment laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure global people programs and policies are appropriately implemented and adapted to local requirements where needed.
  • Monitor evolving regulatory requirements across APJ markets and proactively advise leadership on potential impacts.

People Operations & Program Ownership

  • Own key People Operations processes across APJ, ensuring regional execution aligns with global standards while meeting local requirements.
  • Lead the regional execution of core people programs, including performance cycles, compensation processes, and talent initiatives..
  • Identify opportunities to improve the scalability and effectiveness of regional people processes.
  • Support the operational needs of the region including vendor coordination, documentation practices, and local employment process management where applicable.

Global Partnership

  • Act as the bridge between APJ and the global People organization, bringing regional insight into company-wide initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners including Legal, Finance, and leadership teams.
  • Ensure APJ perspectives are incorporated into global people strategies and programs.

What We’re Looking For

  • Significant experience in HR Business Partnering, regional HR leadership, ideally partnering with teams across APJ.
  • Strong working knowledge of APJ employment practices and compliance considerations.
  • Ability to operate comfortably at both strategic and operational levels, moving between leadership advisor and hands-on execution.
  • Experience working in global, distributed organizations.
  • Strong relationship-building and influence skills across cultures and geographies.
  • A pragmatic, adaptable operator who enjoys stepping into high-impact work across multiple areas of the People function.
  • Comfortable building structure and process in environments where regional operations are still evolving.

Why This Role Matters

The APJ People Business Partner Lead ensures our global people strategy translates effectively across a complex and diverse region. By combining strong partnership with operational rigor and regional expertise, this role helps create a consistent, compliant, and high-performing employee experience across APJ.
